I have been a practicing Child and Family therapist for more than thirty years. I have seen  first-hand the negative impact that conflicted, litigious divorce has on  young people  caught in the middle of their unhappy, separating/ divorcing parents. I have also seen that a parents’  “bad divorce” negatively impacts the succeeding generation’s ability to resolve conflicts in healthy ways. I have been convinced many times over that a collaborative divorce has more positive outcomes for children, especially in the realm of modeling mature conflict resolution even under the most difficult of circumstances.

As a Child Specialist in a collaborative divorce, the voice of the child can be considered, not through forced testimony that may truly damage a child’s relationship with one parent, but through a neutral mental health professional who has the long-term health of relationships with both parents and the  particular child’s needs keenly in mind. 

It has truly been my  pleasure to work with legal professionals committed to a fair process and positive outcomes for all parties.
