Separation and divorce can be a destructive, financially and emotionally draining process, but it does not have to be. After years of a litigation-focused practice, I sought out collaborative training because I thought “there has got to be a better way.” The Collaborative process put power in the hands of the parties, rather than a stranger in a black robe.

Prior to attending law school at Wake Forest, I worked in the mental health and social work field for over a decade. My training and experience in the areas of mental health and substance abuse give me additional insight into issues that often surface during a separation. I am also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (R), so I am able to assist clients to better understand tax implications of settlement, what their financial future may look like, and what their current income and expenses are.

My goal is to help my clients achieve peace of mind and financial security through collaboration and creative solutions.
